Roles & Responsibilities

  • Kitchen Operations Management: Supervise daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and plating to ensure quality standards are met.

  • Staff Supervision & Training: Lead, train, mentor, and schedule kitchen staff.

  • Menu Development & Consistency: Assist the Executive Chef with menu creation, food costing, and special events. 

  • Inventory & Purchasing: Monitor and manage inventory levels, order supplies, and oversee ingredient quality.

  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all food storage, preparation, and cleaning comply with AHS regulations.

  • Leadership: Manage the kitchen brigade during service hours, troubleshooting issues, and jumping in to assist with line cooking & plating as needed. 

Requirements

  • Experience: Several years of commercial kitchen experience, with prior leadership experience as a line cook or lead cook.

  • Culinary Knowledge: Deep understanding of cooking techniques, menu planning, and food safety.

  • Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills to manage a team and excellent communication skills to coordinate with front-of-house staff.

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for long, strenuous hours, often standing for extended periods.
