a bit about us:
Chartier was named the Best New Restaurant by Avenue Magazine in 2016, one of the top 10 Best New Restaurants in Alberta by the Globe and Mail, and made the long list for the Best New Restaurants in Canada by enRoute Magazine.
We understand that by putting our team first, our team will put the guest first in every interaction they have. This where our focus remains to ensure that our Chartier family is happy, healthy, and safe.
Owners Sylvia and Darren Cheverie have a collective 40 years of experience in the hospitality industry - and have learned the ins and outs of the business thanks to hard work and incredible mentorship. They don't believe in doing things they way they've "always been done", they believe in doing what's right.
We value the feedback, insight, and suggestions from our team. Regular check ins, employee surveys, and a direct access to management and owners ensures that your voice is heard, and your opinion matters.
Did we mention 6 day a week access to poutine? Because that.

“Chartier was my first restaurant job and I don’t think I could have entered this industry in any better way. This wonderful gem of a restaurant has taught me more than just serving/bartending and management skills, but also the concepts of teamwork, leadership and passion. Most importantly, Chartier has graced me with friendships that overtime became my family.”

“I had never served before my time at Chartier and I am so glad I found chartier to learn the new skill. My time at Chartier was a wonderful transition and growth period for me. The entire staff at Chartier has been patient, kind, helpful, and high energy. They taught me to reconnect, be well rounded, and reminded me of the importance of good food and better company. I could not be more grateful for the love and talent housed in these four walls.”
